Meet the Staff

Derek is a proud, native Texan who moved to Tennessee with his family in 2018. He holds his district license through the Church of the Nazarene and is working towards ordination through the Ministerial Preparation Program at Nazarene Bible College. In April 2023, Derek became the lead pastor at Mt. Wesley Akin and is looking forward to this next season for the church.

Derek loves spending time with his wife Jennifer and their two kids Evelyn and Josiah. He likes outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. His hobbies are working on cars, wood working, and helping his friends on the farm.
